About Whitfield manuals on Manuals.plus

Whitfield is a historic and influential brand in the home heating industry, widely recognized for introducing the first residential pellet stove to the market. Founded by Dr. Jerry Whitfield under Pyro Industries in the 1980s, the brand revolutionized how homeowners utilize wood residue pellets for efficient, eco-friendly heat. The standout 'Advantage' series set the standard for reliability and performance in the sector.

Although the original manufacturer was eventually acquired by Lennox Hearth Products, thousands of Whitfield stoves remain in active use today. Owners frequently seek documentation for maintenance, troubleshooting control boards, and replacing components like augers and blowers. The provided manuals cover essential operation procedures for legacy models such as the Advantage II, Advantage III, and Profile reeks.

Whitfield support FAQ

Algemene vrae oor handleidings, registrasie en ondersteuning vir hierdie handelsmerk.

  • How do I prime the auger on my Whitfield pellet stove?

To prime the auger, fill the hopper with pellets and plug the stove in. Press the Start switch (activating blowers), then the Auger On/Off switch, and set the Heat Output to the maximum setting (#5). Wait approximately 10 to 15 minutes for pellets to begin dropping into the grate, then reset the stove.

  • How often should I clean the ash from my stove?

Cleaning frequency depends on the ash content of your fuel. Fuel with very low ash content (0.25%) may only require cleaning every 1 to 2 weeks, while fuel with up to 3% ash content may require cleaning every 1 to 2 days.

  • What does the damper control adjustment do?

Die damper rod fine-tunes the air-to-fuel ratio. If your flame is smoky or orange with soot, pull the damper out slightly to increase air. If the flame is short or the fire dies on low settings, push the damper in to decrease air.

  • Why does the auger light blink?

The light located just above the Auger On/Off switch blinks to indicate that the auger motor is turning and feeding fuel. If the switch is pressed again to turn it off, the fuel feed stops, but blowers effectively continue until the stove cools.
