4.2 Positioning the Antenna

Optimal antenna placement is crucial for signal reception. Consider the following:

  • Vensterplasing: Placing the antenna on or near a window often yields the best results as it minimizes obstructions.
  • Muurplasing: If a window is not feasible, try placing it high on a wall.
  • Behind the TV / On the Table: These locations may work but might result in weaker signals depending on your proximity to broadcast towers and surrounding obstacles.

5.1 Scanning for Channels

  1. After connecting and positioning the antenna, turn on your television.
  2. Access your TV's menu and navigate to 'Channel Scan', 'Auto Program', or 'Auto Tune'. The exact name may vary by TV model.
  3. Kies 'Antenna' of 'Air' as die invoerbron, nie 'Cable' nie.
  4. Begin die kanaalskandering. Hierdie proses kan 'n paar minute duur.
  5. Sodra die skandering voltooi is, sal jou TV die beskikbare kanale wys.

Note: Always rescan for channels if you move the antenna to a new location or if you experience signal loss.

5.2 Gebruik die Amplifier Smart Switch

Die amplifier features a Smart Switch with 'Short Range' and 'Long Range' settings. Adjust this switch based on your distance from broadcast towers:

  • Kortafstand: Use this setting if you are close to broadcast towers (typically within 35 miles) to prevent signal overload.
  • Langafstand: Use this setting if you are further away from broadcast towers (up to 600 miles) to boost weaker signals.

Experiment with both settings to find the one that provides the best reception for your location.
