5. Onderhoud

5.1. O-ringversorging

The O-ring is crucial for maintaining the housing's waterproof seal. After each use, inspect the O-ring for any dirt, sand, hair, or damage. Clean the O-ring and its groove with a soft, lint-free cloth. Apply a thin, even layer of the provided O-ring lubricant to keep it supple and ensure a proper seal. Replace the O-ring if any damage is observed.

5.2. Moisture Muncher

The Moisture Muncher capsule absorbs residual moisture inside the housing, preventing internal fogging. Replace the capsule periodically, especially if you notice signs of moisture or fogging. A sample pack is included, and additional capsules can be purchased separately.

5.3. Post-Dive Cleaning

After each dive, rinse the housing thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and other contaminants. Operate all buttons and levers while rinsing to flush out any trapped debris. Allow the housing to air dry completely before storage. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.

6. Probleemoplossing

  • Leak Alarms: The housing is equipped with dual leak alarms. An internal moisture alarm turns red if moisture is detected, and an internal vacuum pressure alarm beeps if internal pressure changes, indicating a potential leak. If an alarm activates, immediately surface and inspect the housing. Do not submerge the housing again until the issue is resolved and a successful vacuum test is performed.
  • Programverbindingskwessies: If the SportDiver App fails to connect via Bluetooth, ensure the housing is powered on and your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled. Restart both the app and the housing if necessary.
  • Interne Verneveling: If fogging occurs inside the housing, ensure the Moisture Muncher capsule is fresh and properly installed. Fogging can also be caused by temperature differences; allow the housing to equalize temperature before sealing.
  • Smartphone Battery Drain: Extended use of the smartphone's camera and screen can lead to rapid battery depletion. Ensure your smartphone is fully charged before each dive.
