2. Montering: Securely attach the theodolite to a stable tripod. Ensure the tripod legs are spread wide and firmly planted on the ground.
3. Nivellering: Use the circular bubble level and the plate levels to roughly level the instrument. Fine-tune leveling using the foot screws while observing the electronic level display (if available) or the plate levels.
