1. Gooi wyn: Carefully pour your wine into the glass carafe. Do not overfill past the maximum fill line.
2. Set Decanting Time: Use the rotary dial on the power base to set the desired oxygenation time. The display shows "DECANTING TIME" in minutes and seconds. Refer to the Breville app for recommended decanting times based on wine type, region, and vintage.
3. Start Oxygenation: Druk die BEGIN button. The appliance will begin the oxygenation process, and the display will show a countdown. You will observe bubbles rising through the wine.
4. Monitor vordering: The display will show the remaining oxygenation time.
5. Voltooiing: Once the set time has elapsed, the appliance will automatically stop. A chime may sound to indicate completion.
6. Bedien: Carefully remove the carafe from the power base and serve the oxygenated wine.
7. Stop / Herstel: To stop the oxygenation process prematurely or to reset the timer, press the STOP/TERUGSTEL knoppie.

Using with Spirits

The Sommelier can also be used to enhance spirits like whiskey or cognac. For this purpose, a smaller 200ml carafe (sold separately) is recommended. Follow the same operating steps, adjusting the oxygenation time as desired for your specific spirit.

• Power Base Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the power base in water or any other liquid.
• Sediment: If sediment accumulates in the oxygenation tube of the carafe, use a thin, flexible brush designed for cleaning narrow tubes to remove it.
