4. Opstelling
Before initial operation, ensure the machine is properly set up.

5.1. Jointing (Dégauchissage)
Jointing is used to flatten one face and square one edge of a workpiece.
- Opstelling: Ensure the planer table is lowered and the jointer tables are in position. The dust extraction flap should be set for jointing.
- Heining verstelling: Adjust the aluminum fence to the desired angle (90° for squaring, up to 45° for bevels). Secure the fence firmly.
- Diepte van sny: Adjust the infeed table to set the desired depth of cut. The maximum depth of cut for jointing is 5 mm. Start with shallow cuts.
- Operasie: Turn on the machine. Place the workpiece on the infeed table, keeping it firmly against the fence. Slowly and steadily feed the workpiece over the cutter block, maintaining even pressure. Use push blocks for short or narrow pieces.
5.2. Planing (Rabotage)
