3.1. Tag Module Battery Installation

Die tag module uses a rechargeable LIR2032H coin cell battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before installation for maximum operating time. A charger for this battery is typically included with the main Girafus Pro-Track-tor base unit.

3.2. Charging the Tag Module Battery

The LIR2032H battery is rechargeable. A dedicated charger (typically included with the main base unit) is used for this purpose.

1. Connect the charger to a power source via its micro USB port (cable usually included with the base unit).
2. Insert the battery into one of the charging slots with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
3. Observe the LED indicator on the charger: a red LED indicates 0-49% charge, a green LED indicates 50-95% charge. If the LED is off despite being connected, the battery is fully charged.

Die tag module can be attached to your pet's collar using the provided silicone case and Velcro strap.

3.4. Synchronization with the Base Module

If you are using an extra tag module, it needs to be synchronized with your existing Girafus Pro-Track-tor base unit. Tag and base modules from the same set are usually pre-synchronized, but new or replacement tags require manual synchronization.

1. First, deactivate all other linked tag modules by opening their casings (removing the battery connection).
2. Ensure the new tag module to be linked is also deactivated (casing open, battery connection interrupted).
3. On the base module, hold down the STEL button and the button for the desired channel (1-4) you want to link the new tag module to.
4. While still holding these two buttons, turn on the base module using its ON/OFF switch.

6. Release both buttons. If released correctly, the base module is now ready to create the new synchronization.

4. Operating the Tracker

3. Wait a few seconds for the base unit to establish a connection with the tag module.
4. The LED at the top of the base unit will light up if there is a radio connection. The longer the LED lights up, the better the connection.
5. The quality of the radio connection is also indicated by the speed of the signal tone emitted via the loudspeaker (if not muted).
6. To determine the direction of your pet, slowly spin around 360 degrees with the base module. The connection indicator (LEDs) will light up for the longest duration, and the signal tone will be emitted most often, in the direction of the strongest connection.
7. Walk a few meters in the determined direction, then stop and wait a few seconds for the signal to update. Repeat this process until a short distance to the tag module is indicated.
8. Once a short distance is indicated, try to locate your pet by visual contact.

4.3. Alarm/Mute Function

The base module features an Alarm/Mute switch. This switch allows you to select whether the base module should emit sounds during the search process or remain silent. If the switch is set to 'Alarm', the base module will make sounds. If set to 'Mute', the device remains silent, and you can rely on the LED indicators for tracking.
