  • HI LEVEL IN/OUT: Speaker-level inputs and outputs for connecting to a receiver or amplifier that does not have dedicated subwoofer outputs.
  • LYN IN/UIT: RCA line-level inputs and outputs for standard audio connections.
  • LFE-INVOER: Dedicated RCA input for Low-Frequency Effects (LFE) signals from an A/V receiver.
  • BASS BOOST Switches: Provides selectable bass boost at 25 Hz or 40 Hz, with 0 dB, 6 dB, or 12 dB gain options.

4. Opstelling

4.1 Plasing

4.2 Verbindings

    • LYN IN: For receivers or preamplifiers with stereo RCA outputs, connect them to the LINE IN (Left and Right) inputs on the SA230.
    • HI LEVEL IN: If your source component only has speaker-level outputs, connect them to the HI LEVEL IN terminals. You can then use the HI LEVEL OUT terminals to pass the signal to your main speakers.
  • 12V Trigger Connection (Optional): If your system supports 12V trigger control, connect a 12V trigger cable from your source component to the 12V TRIGGER IN terminal. Set the REMOTE TURN ON switch to 'TRIGGER'.

4.3 AC Voltage Selection and Power Connection

The SA230 features an AC voltage keurder. Ensure this switch is set to the correct voltage for your region (120V or 240V) before connecting the power cord. Verkeerde voltage selection can damage the amplewendiger.

5. Operasie

5.1 Power On/Off Modes

The SA230 offers three modes for power control, selected via the REMOTE TURN ON switch on the rear panel:

  • FREQ (Crossover Frequency): Adjust the FREQ control to set the upper limit of the subwoofer's frequency response. A common starting point is to set it slightly above the lowest frequency your main speakers can reproduce. Experiment to find the best blend.
  • FASE: Adjust the PHASE control (0° to 180°) to ensure the subwoofer's sound waves are in phase with your main speakers at the listening position. This can improve bass impact and clarity. Listen for the strongest and most coherent bass response.
  • BAS HUPSTOOT: Use the BASS BOOST switches on the rear panel to apply a boost at 25 Hz or 40 Hz if additional low-frequency emphasis is desired. Experiment with the 6 dB or 12 dB settings to suit your preference and room acoustics.

6. Onderhoud

To ensure long-term performance, keep the amplifier clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

6.1 Sekeringvervanging

As die amplifier does not power on, check the fuse. The fuse holder is located within the AC power inlet module on the rear panel. Always replace the fuse with one of the same type and rating.

  • Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and the amplewendiger.
  • Locate the fuse holder within the AC power inlet. It may require a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open or slide out.
  • Remove the old fuse and insert a new fuse of the correct rating (4A/250V for 120V operation, 2A/250V for 240V operation).
  • Securely reinsert the fuse holder.
